  • Passengers transiting through Narita or Haneda airport may apply for a shore pass to enter Japan for no more than 72 hours without a visa, subject to the discretion of immigration authorities and certain conditions.
  • Passengers of approved cruise ships do not require a visa if they stay no longer than 15 days. e-Visa is available if residing in Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States.
  • It is a single entry visa and its duration of stay is 90 days. e-Visa is available if residing in Mongolia.
  • It is a single entry visa and its duration of stay is 90 days. e-Visa application must be made through the travel agencies accredited by the Japanese overseas establishment from 15 December 2023. e-Visa is also available for Chinese passport holder who resides in Mainland China (except Hong Kong and Macau ) only, it is a single entry visa and its duration of stay is 30 days. e-Visa application must be made through the travel agencies accredited by the Japanese overseas establishment from 19 June 2023.
  • The electronic visa will be issued when the agencies are ready to apply through JAPAN e-Visa.
